At Avenue, we believe that a community thrives when its neighbors look out for one another. While our budgets stretch to cover the essentials, there are moments—like the excitement of back-to-school season or the warmth of the holidays—when we need a little extra help to make sure every resident feels supported, safe, and valued.
Your donation of everyday items does more than fill a shelf; it fills a heart. It tells a child they are ready for the year ahead. It tells a family they don’t have to worry about tonight’s meal. It tells our neighbors that they are part of a village that cares.
We have specific drives throughout the year, but our need for kindness is constant. Here is how you can help:
- Purchase items on your next shopping trip
- Host a drive with your company, club or organization
- Deliver items to Avenue Center (3517 Irvington Blvd., 3rd floor, 77009) Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm (mark bag/box with the program the items are for)
- Or shop our Walmart or Amazon Wishlists and send items directly to Avenue!

Food, Toiletries & Cleaning Supplies
Needed Year-Round
Dignity starts at home. When families face tight budgets, the basics can become a struggle. Your donations of non-perishable food, soap, toothpaste, and cleaning supplies provide immediate relief and restore a sense of stability. You aren’t just giving goods; you’re giving peace of mind. We offer these items at Pop-Pantry events in our multi-family communities.
Kids Club & Camp Avenue
Needed Year-Round (greatest need in Spring & Summer)
Every child deserves to feel confident and prepared. Your donations of art supplies, snacks, and activity materials help us create a safe, joyful space where kids can learn, play, and dream big. When you donate here, you’re investing in a child’s happiness and potential. Our Kids Club and Camp Avenue are offered to residents of Avenue’s multi-family communities.
Back to School Drive
June 1 – July 31
The first day of school should be filled with excitement, not anxiety. Help us ensure that students in our communities start the year with a fresh backpack, new notebooks, and the tools they need to succeed. Your contribution turns “I hope I have enough” into “I’m ready!”
School starts August 10, 2026.
Winter Holiday Drive
October 1 – December 1
The holidays should be a time of joy, not stress. Help us bring warmth and cheer to our residents by donating gifts, warm blankets, and festive treats. Together, we can ensure that no one in our community spends the holidays feeling forgotten.
