Capital One has been part of Avenue’s work for years, helping us create and sustain affordable housing opportunities for Houston families. The partnership began when Capital One served as a major capital supporter of Avenue Station, our 68-unit apartment community along Houston’s rail line near downtown, and Avenue Terrace, our 192-unit community in Near Northside.
Since then, Capital One has continued to invest in Avenue’s mission through philanthropic support for homebuyer education, resident services, and housing stability programs. That long-term commitment allows us to connect affordable housing with the resources families need to build stronger, more secure futures.
With Capital One’s support, so far in 2026:
- Avenue has housed 1,122 residents across 555 affordable rental homes while maintaining a 93% occupancy rate.
- Our Resident Services team has reached 160 youth and 243 adults, delivered 173 enrichment sessions, and connected 325 people with food security resources.
Capital One’s partnership is also helping families achieve and preserve homeownership. This year, 69 families have become homeowners with Avenue’s guidance, and our foreclosure prevention work has protected more than $6.8 million in homeowner equity. Our Homeownership Center continues to provide the education, counseling, and practical tools families need to navigate one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.
