Our new office building and community hub, Avenue Center, was completed in 2022, and is a vibrant showcase for our vision and community commitment, with several on-site services for easy accessibility.
Enhancing the building’s welcoming environment are colorful photos and art depicting the neighborhoods and homeowners we serve, as well as our community initiatives.
NeighborWorks Homeownership Center
Valuable resources, such as our homebuyer education classes and homeowner counseling, are offered through the NeighborWorks Homeownership Center on the first floor.
Legacy Community Health Clinic
Legacy Community Health Clinic provides a range of quality and affordable health care services, including obstetrics/gynecology, maternity and pediatric care, to our neighbors, regardless of ability to pay. Legacy patients are offered discount prescriptions at Legacy Pharmacies and other participating pharmacies.
YMCA Children’s Academy
On the first floor, the YMCA Children’s Academy offers early childhood education for infants through preschool. The experienced staff ensures a loving and educational environment with breakfast and lunch provided by the Houston Food Bank.
PNC Bank
A mobile branch of PNC Bank is open at Avenue Center every other Friday. PNC’s mobile branches offer most of the features of a traditional brick and mortar branch, plus financial education seminars for consumers, small businesses and nonprofit organizations. The mobile branch team conducts educational programs on homebuying and money management. This is an effort to improve the financial stability of people and families who may not otherwise have convenient access to banking services, rely on high-fee check-cashing and payday loans or who don’t have checking accounts at all.
