We’ve helped 10,000+ clients through our HUD-certified homebuyer education programs, with 114 families becoming homeowners in 2024 alone. As a proud member of the nationwide NeighborWorksยฎ America network, we meet the highest standards for homeownership education and counseling. Our Avenue Center is located at 3517 Irvington Blvd. in Greater Northside Houston.

Waitlist times vary by class format and season. We offer multiple class sessions monthly to minimize wait times. Priority registration means you’ll be among the first contacted when new dates are available, typically within 2-4 weeks.
Yes! Our in-person and virtual live classes are completely free thanks to grant funding. The eHome America self-paced online option is $100. All formats are HUD-certified and include access to one-on-one counseling and post-purchase workshops at no additional cost.
In-Person Classes: 8 AM-4 PM at Avenue Center (3517 Irvington Blvd.) with live instructor
Virtual Classes: 8 AM-4 PM via Zoom with live instructor
eHome America Online: Self-paced, available anytime ($100)
All formats meet HUD certification requirements and include certificate upon completion.
Our primary focus is Houston/Harris County residents, and we serve the Greater Houston metro area. Virtual and online classes are available to participants from surrounding areas. However, some down payment assistance programs and grants may have specific geographic restrictions to Harris County or surrounding counties.
Pre-Purchase Counseling: One-on-one sessions with HUD-certified counselors to review your finances and create an action plan
Post-Purchase Workshops: Ongoing education on property taxes, insurance, maintenance, budgeting, and emergency preparedness
Down Payment Assistance: Navigation and application support for various assistance programs
Foreclosure Prevention: Support if you encounter difficulties after purchase
Perfect! Our program is designed to help people at all credit levels. We offer one-on-one financial counseling to help improve credit scores, reduce debt, and build savings. Many clients see significant credit improvements within 6-12 months. We also provide information about matched savings programs and credit-building tools.
ยกSรญ! We offer homebuyer education classes in Spanish throughout the year. Based on our brochure, Spanish classes are available at various times. When you join the waitlist, please indicate your language preference and we’ll ensure you’re notified about upcoming Spanish-language sessions.
