Financed in part by Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Washington Courtyards is located at 2505 Washington Avenue, just minutes from Downtown. 60% of the units are affordable to families earning less than 60% of median income, the balance are market rate. Oak Arbor Townhomes
In Spring 2003, Oak Arbor Townhomes was completed. Oak Arbor was developed by Avenue CDC in partnership with Realtex Development Corporation using Low Income Housing Tax Credits. Oak Arbor is a 94-unit mixed-income development in Houston’s Northside. Located at 310 Berry Road, Oak Arbor offers many amenities including a business and media center, fitness center, a swimming pool, attractive landscaping and a convenient location. Avenue CDC is providing enrichment programs, including a computer lab and athletic programs, targeted to the needs of Oak Arbor’s residents.

In 2006, Avenue CDC partnered with Realtex Develolpment Corporation to develop 96 mixed-income rental units in the Eastex/Jenson area of northeast Houston. Redwood Heights offers residents many amenities including a business and media center, a computer lab for youth, and a fitness center. Elder Street Artist Lofts
The original Jefferson Davis Hospital building has welcomed a cadre of new residents after being vacant for 20 years. In 2005, Avenue CDC, in partnership with Artspace Projects Inc., completed the rehabilitation of this historic structure, which is now known as Elder Street Artist Lofts. Avenue CDC negotiated the acquisition of the property from Harris County in 2002, and Avenue then formed a partnership with the Minneapolis-based Artspace to complete the renovation. The project was financed with Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, the City of Houston and Harris County, and philanthropic sources.
The 34 units have 32 unique floor plans and many offer 15-foot ceilings and wonderful views of downtown.
